It is with great pride that we present to you some of our designs from our collection and a small select number of special orders.
Valentin Magro, Master Jeweler, Designer and GIA Graduate Gemologist is well known for designing and creating very unique and distinctive jewelry for his clientele. While each creation is uniquely tailored to the client’s wishes, it will always bear his signature look; elements of color, nature’s flora or fauna motifs, geometry and balance, whimsical and bold, while enhancing the personality and lifestyle of the wearer.

Valentin Magro, born on the island of Malta, immigrated to the United States at the age of eighteen to further his studies in architecture. After familiarizing himself with the top venerable Jewelry Houses in New York and their work, he decided to focus on his hobby of jewelry making and ultimately decided to settle in New York City and begin his career in crafting and designing Fine Jewelry. To hone his craft as a jeweler, he started his career at Tiffany and Company, then on to Harry Winston and David Webb. Each House with it’s fascinating and distinctive style of design, each House with its own set of manufacturing techniques and standards. Early on he realized that though his heart was at the bench hand crafting jewelry, he began design classes in the evening and additional consultations with leading designers such as Shinde, Galle and McNamer to mention a few. Keenly aware and continuously evolving and mastering the different techniques, he decided to set out on his own and establish his own studio.

Today, he still designs and manufactures his own creations for his namesake collection and his clientele. His New York manufacturing studio’s in house staff of highly skilled craftspeople; specialists in metal work and wax carving, model makers, jewelers, setters, polishers, CAD design assistants, stone management specialists and quality control all contribute in a team effort which affords him the opportunity to manufacture all his work in his own studio/atelier in the heart of New York City of which he is most proud.

Typically working hand in hand with a patron he starts by offering several design ideas making drawings displaying various adaptations of a theme. Generally, after a few consultations, the client narrows down the selection to a drawing. From there, the stones and metals are chosen; undoubtedly color, saturation, liveliness, shape and size are of utmost importance. Once these details are finalized, a model is created and examined for fit and proportion.
