These shirt studs are a showpiece of gold. The material of choice is 18k yellow gold, an alloy which provides strength while preserving the signature hue. The decorative side display thick wire, twisted to resemble rope. It is further coiled into a tight spiral. A sliding pin with a pointed tip makes up the reverse side. Everything is polished to a high sheen. There are four shirt studs in all.
