Bordering the gemstone is a halo of micro pave-set round-shaped amethysts, accenting the gold setting, while four polished 18k yellow gold claw prongs overlap to hold the round carving as a striking contrast. The total weight is 37.3 carats of 2 round checkerboard amethysts and a collective weight of 4.57 carats of 44 round amethysts. Clip-backs attach the earrings.
