Delicate violet hues of amethyst are joined by the satin glow of South Sea pearls for this necklace. Irregular boulder carvings of the amethysts strung on an 18k yellow gold wire, cradled by a loop at top and bottom for protection. In between each transparent amethyst is South Sea pearl attached by small gold links. The center amethyst features two pearls on each side. Alternating overtones of the pearls include dark gray, silver and green. Each pearl emits an arresting iridescent luster, exclusive to South Sea pearls due to their thick nacre. The collective weight of the amethyst and South Sea pearls is 1368.15 carats. A knot and toggle closes the necklace, which measures 50.5 inches long.
