Two gems merge into one in this pendant. Azurite is a dark blue, often opaque gem. Malachite is prized for its banded greens. They both form in copper rich earth, sometimes in the same location, becoming a single rock. Here, malachite appears as concentric spots within azurite. The gem is special cut into a bean shape an accented with pave set round brilliant cut diamond triangles. Bars of 18k yellow gold also support the azurite malachite. Measurement detail – width 1.13 inches (29 mm), length 2.2 inches (56 mm), depth 0.29 inches (7 mm).
